Job description
Start: June 1st, 2025 (1-3 weeks of paid training)
1. Responsibilities Overview
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons
• Grade regular homework assignments
• Prepare tests and examinations
• Track and report students’ performance and give feedback
• Teach advanced English level kindergarten students speaking, stories, arts and crafts, phonics, reading, and writing
• Teach advanced English-level elementary school students through speaking and writing, reading, grammar, and book discussion classes
2. Requirements
• Native English Speaker (from one of the 7 English speaking countries)
• Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship
• F-visa holders, A-3 visa holders
• Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check
• Must be physically and mentally healthy.
3. Working Conditions
• Teaching Hours: Mon, Wed, & Fri 9:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. / Tues & Thurs - 9:00 A.M. - 6:40 P.M.
• Class Time: 40 minutes per class
• Class Size: 12 students per class
• Teacher Training: Paid training provided
• Lunch: provided and it doesn't entail eating with children. Teachers can have lunch by themselves.
• Break Time: 5 minutes every 40 minutes of class
4. Salary & Benefits
• 2.6M-3M KRW (negotiable depending on experience)
• One-way airfare (up to $1000 reimbursement) for teachers outside of Korea
• Medical Insurance: 50% of the national insurance premium paid for by our school
• Monthly contribution to the National Pension Fund
• Severance: the average of one month’s salary paid upon the completion of 12-month employment
• Vacation: 11 days plus National Korean Holidays (all red days are off)
• Housing (1 studio apartment) or housing allowance (400,000 KRW) provided
5. Other
The HQ supports this school, so it is financially stable, and the staff receive excellent training. Since it is a newer school, they will offer 1-3 paid weeks of training. They are hiring 1-2 FTs.

🎓 Bachelor’s Degree (or Higher)

You must hold at least a BA or BS degree from an accredited university in your home country or in a country where English is the official language.

🔍 Clean Criminal Record

You must provide a national-level criminal background check (CBC/CRC) that is:

·         Apostilled

·         Less than 6 months old at the time of visa application

🩺 Health & Drug Check

·         A medical exam is required after arrival in Korea. It includes:

o    General health screening

o    Drug test

o    HIV test

·         Some schools also ask for a self-assessed health statement before issuing a contract.

📜 TEFL / TESOL Certification (Optional but Preferred)

·         Not required by Korean Immigration for the E-2 visa itself.

·         Strongly preferred by employers, especially:

o    120+ hour courses

o    Courses with a teaching practicum

💡 Note: Many schools require a 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate even though it's not a legal visa requirement.
